Manage your bookings
Click on book now on the home screen and fill in all required fields. Please note that we do not allow guests under the age of 18 and guests aged 40 or above must book a private room, incorrect bookings will be required to upgrade (availability dependent) or cancel with charges.
You can only make a booking by using a credit card (visa or mastercard which will guarantee the booking).
To maintain the social atmosphere and character of our hostel, we enforce an age restriction for all our shared dorm rooms.
Reservations for dorm rooms are strictly limited to guests aged between 18 and 40 years.
Guests over 40 years of age are welcome to stay in our private rooms.
A valid ID may be requested upon check-in for age verification. If a guest who has booked a dorm room does not meet the age requirement, we reserve the right to cancel the reservation.
Due to the character of our hostel and to preserve and maintain our laid-back atmosphere we do not allow: persons under 18 years old
If you’d like to make changes to your booking, please send an email to beachhostel@flyingpig.nl or call us on +31 (0) 713622533 (daily 10am-11pm). Please provide us with your reservation number and any changes you would like to make. You will receive a confirmation email once the reservation has been altered.

If you have booked through a 3rd party booking agent, you will have to cancel via their website.
(please be aware that any cancellation fees will apply)
Just make your online booking and send us an email with the booking number(s) of you and your friends and explain your preferences. Then we will do our best to put you in the same room and will always reply to you in person.
Service & facilities
The Flying Pig Beach Hostel is located approx. 35km outside of Amsterdam. You can reach us directly from Schipol by taking bus 361 directly from Schipol bus station to bus stop Vuurtorenplein which is a 2 minute walk from the hostel. If you’re traveling from Amsterdam central station, you can take the train to Leiden and then take either bus 20 or 21 from Leiden central to Vuurtorenplein. If you are driving to us, please use 2202HT (number 208) as your destination, you can email us for parking advice.
Our check in time is from 15:00, if you arrive before this time, we will be happy to look after your luggage, you can also use our bar and common areas before check in. Our check out time is 11am, we can store your luggage after this time if you wish to explore the area or use the public facilities later than this time.
Fresh bed linen and a ready made bed upon arrival
Fully equipped kitchen.
Our rooms include safes. Some of them are electric and free to use, some of them work with a key that costs a 15 euro deposit.
Free WiFi in the whole building.
Towels: we advise you to bring your own towel but if you forgotten it, we have towels to rent for € 2.
