Q&A
What made you want to travel?
“ I’ll admit it’s mostly general curiosity. I’ve been reading a lot about Europe and thought it would be interesting to experience either myself. Australia is quite a remote country, so what you experience growing up there you don’t really live anywhere else. I guess travelling is, to me, a way to get the most out of life.”
Where has been your favourite place in Europe?
“It might be a bit early to give a definite answer, but so far I would say Paris. I’ve had so many unique experiences in this city. I am also very excited about visiting Austria. I have heard about it so much through family stories that I feel like part of me has already been there.”
What is your ideal dorm size?
“I feel like a 14 beds dorm is a good balance, But overall, I’m good in a space that’s comfy and safe enough, especially from robbery.”
What has been the best thing you’ve eaten?
“I think Amsterdam has provided me with the best food so far: an insanely tasty three courses meals on a canal cruise, and delicious deep fried sushi rolls from Kiss Me Sushi.”
What is your favourite thing about the Pig?
“It’s such a social and relaxed spot. You do feel like you’re at home in a way.”
How do you like to travel?
“Trains or general public transportation. It’s a bit more expensive than the deals I can get back home, but you get to see so much on such simple journeys.”
What is one piece of advice for people wanting to travel?
“I would advise you to keep a journal, so that you can look back at what you’re experiencing days or years later. You don’t have to write methodically in it, but you can use it as a garden of your memories.
