Q&A
What made you want to travel?
“In this case, I have a friend here which I wanted to visit, it is also a good excuse to take some time for myself and rest for a few days, take a step back from the routine.”
Where has been your favourite place in Europe?
“I actually don’t travel much but I have been to a couple of other countries in Europe, and the Netherlands is my favourite destination so far. I think it might be because I fit in the culture quite well, like the food and everything, I like it a lot. The only downside is the weather, I’d never bike with that wind!”
What is your ideal dorm size?
“It depends whether you are travelling alone or with other people. If you are alone, a 6 bed dorm is reasonable, otherwise I don’t mind adapting and being into an 8 bed dorm.”
What has been the best thing you’ve eaten?
“Here, definitely a Stroopwafel, no hesitation.”
What is your favourite thing about the Pig?
“I would say the staff. They are really welcoming and they do a great job at preserving the hostel’s good vibe.”
How do you like to travel?
“I like my personal space, and I think trains do a good job at allowing me to maintain it in general. They’re also more comfortable and the trips tend to be shorter. A good 5 hours train trip is always better than a three hours shitty trip with any other means of transportation.”
What is one piece of advice for people wanting to travel?
“Keep your things organised, don’t start spreading your personal space all over the place you’re staying at. Not only out of respect for others but it also makes it easier to keep an eye on your things and avoid loosing them. And obviously, be respectful to others, travellers and staff.”
