Flowers, flowers, flowers.

Flowers, flowers, flowers, nature’s beautiful way of showing us its limitlessness. Spring is the time for new beginnings, nature and people are starting to bloom again after the gloomy winter and longer days are leading us towards an adventurous summer.

In The Netherlands we are blessed with endless flower fields which continue as far as the eye can see. Fields and gardens full of tulips, hyacinths, dahlias and other flowers in multiple colours can be explored through the country. The most versatile area for exploring the fields is the area around the Europe’s most famous flower garden, Keukenhof. Keukenhof is also known as a Garden of Europe, and it is located in the municipality of Lisse. Lisse and its closest towns (Hillegom, Noordwijkerhout and Sassenheim) are perfect areas to travel through by bike or car, whilst stopping to admire the beauty.

Although, a day ticket to Keukenhof is only €19,50 so it won’t break your bank too much. If you want to know more about this magical flower park or you’re planning to buy the tickets, click below.

If you don’t want to visit Keukenhof itself but are looking for somewhere in the area to stop by in and see, we suggest The Tuliperij. It’s a wonderful garden with a wide array of tulips followed by dahlias, both to see and to pick yourself. They also provide tours around the area as well as a stunning little café.
